ALS signed "U.S. Grant," two pages, 4.5 x 6.75, silver-embossed "Vendredi" letterhead, April 2, 1882.  Grant writes to Senator John P. Jones.  In full:

"Will you and Mrs. Jones come and take family dinner with Mrs. Grant & I.  I left a card at the hotel for [Senator Roscoe] Conkling asking him to come also.  Please say to the bearer if we may expect you."

A few mild wrinkles, otherwise fine, bright condition.
